Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 15, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Cyflogic (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on cyflogic.com (the “Site”). It describes what these technologies are, why we use them, and how you can control them. Read it together with our Privacy Policy.

If you have any question about this policy, write to [email protected].

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work or work more efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide aggregate information about how visitors use a site. We also use similar technologies such as local storage and pixel tags. For simplicity, we refer to all of these as “cookies” in this policy.

Cookies set by the site you are visiting are called “first-party” cookies. Cookies set by a different domain than the one you are visiting are called “third-party” cookies. Cookies can also be “session” cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or “persistent” cookies, which remain on your device until they expire or you delete them.

2. Why we use cookies

We keep our cookie use narrow. We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Strictly necessary. These cookies are required for the Site to function. They handle things like remembering whether you have already dismissed our cookie notice, supporting the comments form, and protecting the Site against abuse. Without these cookies, parts of the Site will not work.
  • Functional. These cookies remember preferences such as the comment author details you have entered before, so you do not have to retype them on a return visit.
  • Analytics. These cookies help us understand how visitors use the Site at an aggregate level, for example which articles are read most. We use a privacy-respecting analytics tool and do not use these cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

We do not use advertising, remarketing, or profiling cookies on the Site, and we do not allow third parties to use the Site to track you for advertising purposes.

3. Cookies we use

The table below lists the main cookies and similar technologies you may encounter on the Site. Cookie names and durations can change as we update our tools. The categories and purposes remain accurate.

Name Type Purpose Duration Category
wordpress_test_cookie First-party Tests whether your browser accepts cookies. Session Strictly necessary
wp-settings-* First-party Stores user preferences on signed-in admin sessions. 1 year Functional
comment_author_* First-party Remembers your name, email, and website if you choose to be remembered when you leave a comment. 1 year Functional
cyflogic_cookie_consent First-party Stores your cookie preferences so we do not ask again on every visit. 12 months Strictly necessary
_pk_id, _pk_ses (or equivalent) First-party Aggregate analytics about how the Site is used. Does not contain personal identifiers. Up to 13 months Analytics

If we add new tools that set cookies, we will update this table.

4. Your choices

4.1 The consent banner

When you visit the Site from the EEA, the UK, or another jurisdiction where consent is required for non-essential cookies, you will see a cookie banner. You can accept all categories, reject non-essential categories, or open a preferences panel to choose category by category. Your choice is stored in a small cookie so we do not ask again on each visit. You can change your choice at any time from the cookie preferences link in the Site footer.

If you are visiting from outside those jurisdictions, we may set non-essential cookies without a separate consent step, in line with applicable law. You can still control cookies through your browser as described below.

4.2 Browser controls

Most browsers let you see what cookies are stored, delete them, and block them either entirely or for specific sites. The exact steps depend on your browser:

  • Chrome: Settings › Privacy and security › Cookies and other site data.
  • Firefox: Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data.
  • Safari: Settings › Privacy › Manage Website Data.
  • Edge: Settings › Cookies and site permissions.

If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Site may not work as expected.

4.3 Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We respect the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where applicable law requires us to. We do not currently respond to legacy “Do Not Track” headers, because no consistent industry standard for handling that signal exists.

5. Analytics provider details

We process aggregate analytics data through a privacy-respecting analytics provider that processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. The analytics provider does not combine the data we send with data from other sites and does not use it for advertising. IP addresses are truncated or anonymized before storage where the provider supports it.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the cookies we use or when applicable law changes. The most current version always lives at this page, with the “Last updated” date at the top reflecting the most recent change. We encourage you to review this policy from time to time.
